The pools were drawn in Toronto for the 2007 Under 20 Men's FIFA World Cup. Host nation Canada will open by playing Chile on Canada Day (July 1) in Toronto.

The 2007 FIFA World Youth Championships for Men are coming to Canada this year. Twenty-four under-20 teams have qualified for the tournament and the pools will be determined tomorrow (March 3rd).
Six cities in Canada will host the soccer games - Victoria, Burnaby, Edmonton,
Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal - in Canada 2007, which opens on June
30th. Defending champion Argentina has qualified and will be
one of many teams vying to lift the trophy on July 22nd.

Italy will be in the World Cup finals for the first time since 1994, which they lost to Brazil. It looked like penalty kicks would be needed to decide this World Cup match but Italy managed to score in the 28th and 30th minute of overtime.

Round of 16 play continued in Germany 2006 with two very different football matches. In a game that would later seem subdued, England edged Costa Rica 1-0. In the second soccer game of the day Portugal edged the Netherlands 1-0 in a fiery game that included 16 cautions, four expulsions, and a heat butt.

The first Round of 16 matches were played in World Cup Soccer in Germany 2006. The Germans dominated Sweden in game one while Argentina needed overtime to edge Mexico in the other match.
